Windows 10 May Offer Drag And Drop Support For Apps
Microsoft now calls Metro apps, simple Windows apps, and the company is now looking to enhance support for these on Windows 10, by including support for a few new features.
Features like enhanced drag and drop support.
Apps are set to become a central piece of the Windows 10 puzzle, what with the possibility of running them in windowed mode, moving them on screen or resizing them just like any other software program. Well, now you can add another option to this list.
There are hints that Redmond is introducing another feature to these apps, one that has been available on traditional desktop software for ages.
That is, the ability to drag and drop files directly in Windows apps — opening up the possibility of performing select tasks easier and faster than before. Case in point, sharing stuff on social networks, or uploading files or folders.
The software titan is yet to officially confirm this handy little feature, but more information is expected to be provided next month at the BUILD 2015 developer conference.
Bring it, as folks in the United States like to say!
