Twitter Brings Revamped Profiles to iPhone; Unveils New Tools for Businesses
The updated Twitter for Android app on Tuesday brought a new and bigger profile layout including larger cover and profile photos, a biography on the profile page, as well as easier viewing of all tweets, photos, and favourites from the profile page.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, the micro-blogging company introduced new tools for business to quickly promote their Twitter profile and tweets. Businesses will be able to select a tweet to promote for certain budget and Twitter will provide them an estimate of the total number of engagements that they will receive.
For SMBs, the new “account home” (Twitter analytics page) enables them to quickly view summary of all account activity, including numbers of times user has tweeted; number of people visited and seen profile, mentioned @username or followed the account; number of times people shared links (if you use Twitter Cards), and top Tweets and followers with the largest network in any given month.
Tweet analytics on twitter.com and account home are now available to all advertisers globally, notes the company. The quick promote features will be available in the coming weeks on twitter.com to all SMB advertisers.
