Another Bug Prevents Windows 10 Preview Launch On Lumia 930
There’s always one! First there was the partition stitching bug that prevented the release of the preview on the Lumia 930, and now Microsoft have run into another one.
The software titan announcedsupport for an array of Lumia phones.
But the current flagship, the Lumia 930 was still curiously missing from the blog post that the company put up last week. The premium 5-inch handset is a popular device, and owners looking to get a taste of Windows 10 on their phone will have to wait a fair bit, it seems.
The two flagships, Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520, both weremissing from the first launch of the preview, back in the middle of February
Microsoft have a good reason for this delay, though.
As Gabriel Aul, the head of the Windows Insider program points out, the development team recently came across a bug that is specific to Lumia 930 — and until they manage to fix this, Windows 10 for Phones cannot run on this handset.
What this means is that Lumia 930 owners will probably have to wait at least a month to get their hands on the preview version of Windows 10 for Phones.
Late April, early May, by the looks of it.
Then again, such is technology.
