All of the five cellular operators in Pakistan are providing this facility to the subscribers to convert their SIMs to any other network. So if you are looking to convert your SIM from your current network to any other network without changing the number, following instructions and procedure below can be helpful for this, which we have taken from the respective representatives of the customer services centers.

MOBILINK:

If your current SIM is registered against your name and you are using it for more than 60 days, you can convert it to the Mobilink network for free.

The owner of the SIM required to visit nearest Mobilink Franchise/MSP or Main Office, along with active SIM and original CNIC and a copy

to provide biometric verifications. Number will be converted in 4 working days free of cost.

TELENOR

If you want to convert your SIM to Telenor, you will be required to visit nearest Telenor Customer Service Center, Franchise or Express Shop with active SIM of the number you want to convert to Telenor, along with the original CNIC.

The current number should be registered on your name. Telenor says that port in time is 4 working days. And you will be required to pay Rs. 60 for the conversion of SIM however and you will get Rs. 50 initial balance in your converted SIM.

UFONE:

To convert your SIM to another network, your SIM must be registered on your name and the company says that network change request can be taken after 60 days of new SIM activation or ownership change.

There three methods to convert the SIM to Ufone:

1.    Type “MNP” in the write message option and send to 667 after which you’ll get a reply asking your name and CNIC number and forward it to 76333. The charges of send SMS to 76333 will be according to tariff plan.

2.    You can also convert your SIM to Ufone by going to the sitehttp://www.ufone.com/Customer-Service/MNP/Online/ and responding to the questions.

3.    You can also contact helpline of Ufone by dialing 333 from any Ufone number or calling Ufone MNP helpline 033 1236 1236. After online MNP request, you will receive a call back from the concerned department within 2 to 6 hours for further details.

After following any of the method mentioned above, your SIM will be converted to Ufone without any charges within 4 working days for Prepaid and 9 to 14 working days for Postpaid. Prepaid user will get Rs.50 by Ufone on first call activation.

ZONG:

If you want to convert your SIM to Zong, send an SMS by typing “MNP” to 667 which will cost Rs1.50+tax, after which you will get a reply asking the ownership details and by confirming same details and sending to 76313 at Rs2+Tax., your SIM will be converted to the network of Telenor within 4 working days.

Additionally, you can also visit nearest customer service center or Franchise to convert the SIM to Zong.

WARID:

To convert your SIM to Warid, you will be required to send “MNP” to 667, after which you will get a reply asking you to send your name and CNIC to 76321 and afterwards your SIM will be converted to Warid within few days, as said by the company.

However, you can also visit nearest customer services center or franchise of Warid telecom to convert your connection to Warid.
