It always comes down to the little things, does it not? Windows 10 icons have quickly become a vocal topic for fans and users, while at the same time not much is said about the overall user interface.
Maybe that is because Microsoft is yet to finalize the UI of their new operating system.
Or maybe the user interface will not differ much from Windows 8.
Now, withstanding the fact that most user will be able to customize the icons on their Windows 10 installations with ease, there is no shortage of criticism directed at Microsoft regarding the icons in the new operating system.
Some love the simple minimalistic approach, while others decry it.
But how would these icons fit in, say, Windows 7, currently the most popular operating system on the planet with more than half the market share of the desktop world?

Microsoft still have a few months to nail down a design scheme for the Windows 10 icons, and the company is takingfeedback into account via different avenues. We may well see a completely new approach to what is a very important part of the UI puzzle.
