Twitter might soon let you add stickers to photos

Stickers are now a core feature in most messaging and social networking apps, and they might soon become available for you to use in your photos on Twitter.

Recode reports that the company is currently testing photo stickers with a closed group of users. In addition to embellishing your pictures, it will also let you see how other users have edited the same image and suggest pictures from trending conversations as well as breaking news for you to edit.

Twitter hasn’t shared details about where it will source photos from, how it will determine images to recommend to you, or when it plans to roll out the feature to more users. A spokesperson told Recode, “We’re always researching potential new ways to make Twitter more expressive.”

The move makes sense: tweets with images in your timeline are more likely to catch your eye than plain text ones and allowing people to share photos the way they do on apps like Facebook and Snapchat could help make Twitter feel more familiar to new users.
