Student arrested on Fake Facebook Profile in Karachi

Karachi: Fake social media accounts and torturing through these accounts is rapidly increasing and Pakistani media has reported several such type of cases. But now Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started taking serious actions on this crime. According to the report of popular English newspaper of Pakistan, FIA officials have arrested fake Facebook profile holder from Karachi. 21 year old Abdul Moiz has been arrested from his flat in Gulshan e Iqbal Karachi for blackmailing a girl from his fake Facebook profile.

The sources of FIA told the newspaper that they have received a complaint from a man named as Saleem, in which he said that an unknown person is blackmailing her daughter on social media. FIA Cyber Circle had investigate on this complain and raid on a flat located in Gulshan e Iqbal Karachi. The officials have arrested 21 year old student named as Abdul Moiz on the charges of blackmailing a girl on Facebook. Abdul Moiz is student of Iqra University and he had been involved in such type of activities from the last few months. The officials have said that both the boy and girl were schoolmates and good friends.

It is to be noted that increasing number of such type of cases led FIA to take action against this shameful act.
