Samsung recently launched a wireles sdongle within its premium range of audio products called Level. Called Level Link, this device is essentially a dongle that uses Bluetooth connectivity to make a range of traditional audio devices completely wireless.

In order to use the device, all you need to do is connect Level Link to earphones, headphones, a set of speakers or a TV, and then pair it to a Bluetooth-enabled device to enjoy the same sound quality you get from traditional audio devices. The wireless audio adapter features both transmit and receive modes, comes with apt X Low Latency codec along with apt X, Samsung HD, SBC and AAC with a claimed battery life of 6 hours.

The overall design and build quality of this 2-inch adapter is quite good. The device comes with an alligator clip on one side which becomes quite useful when you are exercising or traveling. The device also comes with a pair of headphones bundled into the package, along with two extra sets of earbuds for a smaller or larger fit. For connecting the Level Link directly to your audio device, Samsung also bundles a 3.5mm to 3.5mm auxiliary cable with the Level Link.

You can connect the Level Link to your TV, with the adapter allowing connectivity to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. The Samsung Level Link is currently available in Charcoal Black, Blue, Red and White colour options.

The Samsung Level Link is aimed at users that have gadgets that do not come packed with Bluetooth connectivity options. The Level Link allows you to plug it into any 3.5mm audio port and send or receive audio straight through to your wireless headphones or car stereo.

Setting up the device is pretty simple. The device comes with a send/receive switch on the side, which tells your device how to manage the audio. If you want to be able to listen to your TV wirelessly, all you need to do is connect the Level Link to your TV’s 3.5mm audio port and switch it to “send”. You can then pair up your mobile device with the Level Link and use your wireless headphones or the wired OEM headset that comes with the wireless adapter.

Because Samsung Level Link comes with Multipoint technology, you can pair more than one wireless headset at a time to the device. When using the device in your car, all you need to do is connect the adapter to the auxiliary port of your car and switch the adapter to “receive”. From here on, you can stream audio straight from your smartphone or tablet without having to connect cables.

We were pretty impressed by the connectivity this device offers. Battery life is pretty good, too – on a full charge, you get around 5-6 hours of playback time. At a price tag of AED 299, the Samsung Level Link offers you the flexibility of listening to your music, sans wires.

The device can also be of much help to people who drive cars that lack a Bluetooth connectivity option built-in. The Samsung Level Link is well worth the investment.
