Rawalpindi Will Host The Electronic Sports Festival 2015 for Gamers
Esports Infinity will be holding the Electronic Sports Festival 2015 (ESF 15) in Rawalpindi early next year. Organisers are inviting dedicated and professional gamers to enter this competition and prove they are the best for high-level play. ESF 15’s Facebook page rightly notes that this is “Pakistan’s largest competitive gaming event in the cold of Winter”.
When and Where?
The ESF 15 will take place from 15th January 2016 to 17th January 2016 at the Tribal Gaming Arcade, Cinepax at Jinnah Park, Rawalpindi.
A total of five game events will take place during this period and the top three winners from each event will get their hands on cash prizes. Two competitions will use the Xbox 360 consoles while the rest will be played on PCs. Gamers can take part in the following game events:
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC)
Dota 2 (PC)
Counter Strike: Global Offensive (PC)
FIFA 16 (Xbox 360)
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Xbox 360)
Registrations cost Rs 500 for individual events and Rs 2500 for teams. Each game event will require separate registrations. Gamers and their teams can register starting 1st January 2016 for the event by filling the form available here. Gamers can also register on the event day if they wish to take part the day they arrive and there are no limits on the number of participants.
Registration fee can be paid at the event day (15th January) or on before that at the Tribal Gaming.
Total prize amount for PC genre is set to a minimum of Rs 50,000. Top 3 PC gamers for each event will get the following amounts as the minimum prize amount:
1st: PKR 30,000
2nd: PKR 12,000
3rd: PKR 8,000
Total prize amount for Xbox genre is set to a minimum of Rs 25,000. Top 2 Xbox gamers for each event will get the following amounts as the minimum prize amount:
1st: PKR 16,000
2nd: PKR 9,000
While the above mentioned numbers are guaranteed, the prize amounts can be increased if the registrations exceed the expected number. The prize sum will be increased under the following scheme:
