They say, first impressions are everything. Sporting a price tag of AED 444, we weren’t really expecting anything majorly mind-blowing from InnJoo. However, when we received the review unit, we were impressed with everything InnJoo had to offer with the Fire Pro. Right from the packaging, to the accessories included in the box and the smartphone itself.

Speaking of the specs, the InnJoo Fire Pro is a 4G LTE smartphone. It comes equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of buit-in storage space, which can be further expanded using a microSD card. Though the phone offers dual micro SIM support, one of the slots can be alternated between using either a second SIM or a microSD card.

Under the hood, the InnJoo Fire Pro runs on a Quad-Core processor from Mediatek and Google’s Android Lollipop operating system. The smartphone also sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, offering a resolutions of 1280 X 720 pixels. For shutterbugs, the InnJoo Fire Pro comes with a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera. When it comes to battery, the InnJoo Fire Pro comes packed with a 2500mAh battery and is powered by a rapid charging and high energy density technology.

InnJoo offers a built-in InnUI overlay over the Android Lollipop operating system, in order to offer you a better user experience. The Fire Pro also comes with power saving settings to let you use the phone for a longer period of time.

The build quality of the Fire Pro is quite good, considering the pricing it is available at. The device is white in colour with a metallic edge running around the device. On the top of the device you will find the power button, a microphone and the headphone jack. While the left edge has the volume rockers, the right edge has nothing on it.

At the bottom of the device you will find the micro USB port along with speakers on both sides of the port. Turn the smartphone around and you will see the 8-megapixel rear camera along with the LED flash module right below it. The SIM and micro SD slots are hidden inside the battery compartment at the back – the battery though is non-removable.

The overall experience using the phone was good. Browsing through the smartphone’s contents and switching between apps was a breeze. We did not find any lags when opening and closing apps. On our AnTuTu Benchmark, the InnJoo Fire Pro scored a respectable 27905 points – while the smartphone itself is not a performance monster, it should make for a very good mid-range device.

Quality of the images and videos shot using the rear 8-megapixel camera was average. Selfies taken using the front 5-megapixel camera unit turned out pretty good, too. Under low light conditions though we did notice noise in some images and videos shot. Reception quality of the phone calls and signal strength was good.

With the InnJoo Fire Pro, for a price tag of AED 444, you get a 4G LTE device with good build quality, decent performance, good user interface and the latest Android OS. If you are on the market for a second phone or looking for a mid-range phone, and budget is something that you are restricted with, the InnJoo Fire Pro should be on top of your list.
