The new Lumia 430 Dual SIM is the latest addition to Microsoft’s affordable range of smartphones. This one’s a Windows Phone 8.1-based handset, which comes with the promise of an upgrade to Windows 10, and is available for an affordable AED 259.

Built with a dual-core, 1.2-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and 1GB RAM, the Lumia 430 Dual SIM comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office, Skype, and up to 30GB of free OneDrive storage. It also sports 8GB of onboard storage, with the option to add a MicroSD card for up to 128GB.

The Microsoft Lumia 430 Dual SIM features a 4-inch WVGA display and Smart Dual SIM technology, which allows users to assign unique profiles to SIM cards to manage daily communication. The Lumia 430 Dual SIM supports dual micro-SIMs and is available in two colours: bright orange and black.

The phone also features a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera while also housing a 0.3-megapixel front camera. The handset is backed by a 1500mAh replaceable battery, measures 120.5×63.19×10.63mm, and weighs 127.9 grams.

Build quality of the device is quite good. The overall experience is very good – something you have become used to in Microsoft devices. We found the reception quality to be very good. In addition, call quality was excellent for an entry-level smartphone.

Since it is a dual SIM phone and the fact that the device can be upgraded to Windows 10 when it becomes available, it fits into the sweet spot for those looking for a good second phone without having to burn through their wallets.
